Commute
Athens runs on its own clock. ~75 min to Atlanta on GA-316 — most clients work in town or hybrid. Loop 10 / 78 / 441 are the local arteries; almost no rush hour by metro standards.
Schools
Clarke County schools rate moderately. Many UGA-faculty families opt for Oconee County instead — be honest about the trade-off if school is the driver. I will say it plain.
Day-to-day
Downtown Athens is its own world — music, restaurants, college energy. Sanford Stadium on autumn Saturdays. Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, the State Botanical Garden for quieter days.
